Update: Earthquake strikes region near Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Russia on July 20 – 5.1 magnitude detected

A 5.1 magnitude quake was registered near Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky Sunday evening, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

It was reported that a tremor shook the area at 09:30 UTC (20:30 local time). The epicenter was located about 142 km east-southeast of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, at a depth of 10 km.
