A 5.3 magnitude quake was reported near Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky Sunday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor, which struck the area at 17:10 UTC (04:10 local time), was centered roughly 130 km east-southeast of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. It occurred at a depth of 10 km.
