Update: July 18 – 5.1 magnitude earthquake detected close to Carlsberg Ridge

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 5.1 magnitude quake jolted near Carlsberg Ridge Friday morning.

The tremor, which hit the area at 04:51 UTC (08:51 local time), was centered near Carlsberg Ridge. It occurred at a depth of 10 km.
