Update: 5.1 magnitude earthquake strikes close to Vilyuchinsk, Russia on July 31

The U.S. Geological Survey reported that a 5.1 magnitude quake occurred close to Vilyuchinsk Thursday morning.

It was reported that a tremor hit the region at 18:41 UTC (05:41 local time). The epicenter was situated about 173 km south-southeast of Vilyuchinsk, at a depth of 35 km.
