A 5.0 magnitude quake was reported close to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky Wednesday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor, which jolted the area at 17:13 UTC (04:13 local time), was centered approximately 155 km east-southeast of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. It occurred at a depth of 10 km.
