On Friday at 1:08 p.m. an updated red flag warning was released by the National Weather Service valid for Saturday between noon and 8 p.m. for Southwest Colorado Lower Forecast Area, North Fork and Southwest Colorado Upper West Forecast Area.

Residents can expect winds to be southwest 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph and relative humidity 8 to 13 percent.

“Any fire that develops will catch and spread quickly. Outdoor burning is not recommended,” states the NWS.
