BARÚ DISTRICT, CHIRIQUÍ — According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 6.2 magnitude quake slammed near Burica on Monday around midday.
A tremor hit the area at 17:16 UTC (11:16 local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was situated roughly 211 km south of Burica and occurred at a depth of 10 km.
