Update: Seismic activity on June 30 – 5.2 magnitude earthquake close to Tatsugō, Japan registered

The U.S. Geological Survey reported that a 5.2 magnitude quake occurred close to Tatsugō Monday afternoon.

It was reported that a tremor struck the region at 09:33 UTC (18:33 local time). The epicenter was located roughly 93 km north of Tatsugō, at a depth of 10 km.

Last week, 18 tremors with a magnitude 2.5 or greater have been recorded in the area. The strongest, a 5.4 magnitude quake, was detected in the same region one day ago.
