Update: Earthquake hits region near Tatsugō, Japan on July 2 – 5.2 magnitude recorded

A 5.2 magnitude quake was registered close to Tatsugō at midnight on Wednesday, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

A tremor struck the area at 15:49 UTC (00:49 local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was located roughly 100 km north-northwest of Tatsugō and occurred at a depth of 10 km.
