ALEUTIANS EAST BOROUGH, AK—A 6.2 magnitude quake was detected close to Sand Point Sunday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The tremor slammed at 10:28 p.m. (2:28 p.m. local time), with its epicenter situated approximately 50 miles south-southeast of Sand Point and a depth of 29 miles.
