ALEUTIANS EAST BOROUGH, AK—A 6.1 magnitude quake was recorded close to Sand Point on Sunday around midday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The tremor hit at 10:27 p.m. (11:27 a.m. local time), with its epicenter located about 74 miles south-southeast of Sand Point and a depth of 34 miles.
