The U.S. Geological Survey reported that a 5.4 magnitude quake occurred close to East Pacific Rise Saturday morning.

The tremor struck the region at 15:28 UTC (08:28 local time). It occurred at a depth of 10 km with the epicenter located northern of East Pacific Rise.
