Update: 6.2 magnitude earthquake recorded close to Burica, Panama on July 14

BARÚ DISTRICT, CHIRIQUÍ—around midday Monday, a 6.2 magnitude quake was detected near Burica, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

It was reported that a tremor slammed the region at 17:16 UTC (11:16 local time). The epicenter was located approximately 211 km south of Burica, at a depth of 10 km.
