ALEUTIANS EAST BOROUGH, AK—According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 7.3 magnitude quake slammed near Sand Point Wednesday morning.
At 8:37 p.m. (9:37 a.m. local time), the region was slammed by a tremor. The earthquake shook at a depth of 12 miles, with its epicenter about 54 miles south of Sand Point.
