ALEUTIANS EAST BOROUGH, AK—Wednesday morning, a 7.3 magnitude quake was recorded close to Sand Point, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
A tremor rocked the area at 8:37 p.m. (9:37 a.m. local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was situated about 54 miles south of Sand Point and occurred at a depth of 12 miles.
