ALEUTIANS EAST BOROUGH, AK—Wednesday morning, a 7.3 magnitude quake was registered near Sand Point, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
At 8:37 p.m. (9:37 a.m. local time), the region was hit by a tremor. The earthquake slammed at a depth of 12 miles, with its epicenter about 54 miles south of Sand Point.
