Update: Earthquake of 5.5 magnitude recorded close to Sarrat, Philippines on July 15

ILOCOS NORTE, Ilocos Region — A 5.5 magnitude quake was reported near Sarrat Tuesday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

A tremor hit the area at 02:38 UTC (10:38 local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was located about 2 km south-southeast of Sarrat and occurred at a depth of 49 km.
