BARÚ DISTRICT, CHIRIQUÍ — According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 6.2 magnitude quake shook close to Burica at midday on Monday.

The tremor slammed at 17:16 UTC (11:16 local time), with its epicenter situated roughly 206 km south of Burica and a depth of 10 km.
