5.1 magnitude earthquake detected near central East Pacific Rise on July 14

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 5.1 magnitude quake jolted close to central East Pacific Rise Monday morning.

The tremor hit the area at 17:44 UTC (10:44 local time). It occurred at a depth of 10 km with the epicenter situated near central East Pacific Rise.
