Update: 4.0 magnitude earthquake detected close to Olancha, CA on July 13

INYO COUNTY, CA — the U.S. Geological Survey reported that a 4.0 magnitude quake rattled near Olancha Sunday morning.

The tremor struck the area at 5:27 a.m. It occurred at a depth of just 0.27 miles with the epicenter situated approximately 8 miles south-southwest of Olancha.
