SAN BENITO COUNTY, CA — Saturday morning, a 3.5 magnitude quake was registered near Pinnacles, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor, which shook the area at 1:31 a.m., was centered roughly 4 miles east of Pinnacles. It occurred at a depth of 7 miles.

According to the USGS DYFI report, weak shaking was recorded and residents in several cities—including Carmel, Seaside and Soledad—reported feeling the tremor.

In the past week, there was one quake of magnitude 2.5 centered nearby, which was recorded near Pinnacles seven days earlier.
