Update: 3.7 magnitude earthquake recorded near Pinnacles, CA on July 12

SAN BENITO COUNTY, CA — Saturday morning, a 3.7 magnitude quake was registered close to Pinnacles, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor rattled at 1:31 a.m., with its epicenter positioned approximately 3 miles east of Pinnacles and a depth of 7 miles.

The USGS DYFI report indicates that people in cities such as Carmel, Seaside and Soledad felt weak shaking during the tremor.
