SAN BENITO COUNTY, CA — Saturday morning, a 3.7 magnitude quake was detected near Pinnacles, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor, which jolted the area at 1:31 a.m., was centered roughly 3 miles east of Pinnacles. It occurred at a depth of 7 miles.

The USGS DYFI report indicates that people in cities such as Carmel, Seaside and Soledad felt weak shaking during the tremor.

Last week, there was one quake of magnitude 2.5 centered in the region, which was reported close to Pinnacles seven days ago.
