Update: 3.7 magnitude earthquake jolts near Pinnacles, CA on July 12

SAN BENITO COUNTY, CA — According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 3.7 magnitude quake rattled close to Pinnacles Saturday morning.

The tremor, which shook the area at 1:31 a.m., was centered approximately 3 miles east of Pinnacles. It occurred at a depth of 7 miles.
