SAN BENITO COUNTY, CA — According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 3.7 magnitude quake rattled close to Pinnacles Saturday morning.

The tremor, which shook the area at 1:31 a.m., was centered approximately 3 miles east of Pinnacles. It occurred at a depth of 7 miles.

Weak shaking was recorded, with reports from Carmel, Seaside and Soledad among the cities where people experienced the tremor, according to the USGS DYFI report.

Last week, a single magnitude 2.5 quake was centered in the region. The event was registered close to Pinnacles, seven days ago.
