Update: 3.7 magnitude earthquake jolts near Pinnacles, CA on July 12

SAN BENITO COUNTY, CA — According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 3.7 magnitude quake occurred close to Pinnacles Saturday morning.

The tremor rattled at 1:31 a.m., with its epicenter situated approximately 3 miles east of Pinnacles and a depth of 7 miles.

Weak shaking was observed, with reports from cities such as Pebble Beach and Soledad indicating that the tremor was felt, according to the USGS DYFI report.
