SAN BENITO COUNTY, CA — A preliminary 3.7 magnitude quake was detected near Pinnacles Saturday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor shook at 1:31 a.m., with its epicenter located about 3 miles east of Pinnacles and a depth of 7 miles.

Over the last week, a single magnitude 2.5 quake was centered in the area. The event was recorded close to Pinnacles, seven days earlier.
