SAN MARCOS, Gro. — According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 6.5 magnitude quake struck close to Rancho Viejo Friday morning.

The tremor rocked at 13:58 UTC (07:58 local time), with its epicenter located about 5 km west-northwest of Rancho Viejo and a depth of 18 km.
