Update: Oct. 23 – 5.6 magnitude earthquake recorded near Tual, Indonesia

A 5.6 magnitude quake was detected near Tual Thursday evening, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor, which jolted the area at 11:46 UTC (20:46 local time), was centered about 211 km west-southwest of Tual. It occurred at a depth of 87 km.
