Saturday morning, a 5.3 magnitude quake was recorded close to Basco, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

It was reported that a tremor jolted the region at 01:34 UTC (09:34 local time). The epicenter was situated about 100 km southwest of Basco, at a depth of 35 km.
