Update: Earthquake of 5.2 magnitude detected close to South Sandwich Islands region on Nov. 1

The U.S. Geological Survey reported that a 5.2 magnitude quake hit close to South Sandwich Islands region Saturday night.

The tremor jolted the area at 01:51 UTC (23:51 local time). It occurred at a depth of 10 km with the epicenter located of South Sandwich Islands region.
