5.2 magnitude earthquake reported near Shwebo, Burma (Myanmar) on July 17

SHWEBO, Sagaing Region — A 5.2 magnitude quake occurred near Shwebo on Friday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor, which jolted the area at 01:26 UTC (07:56 local time), was centered roughly 42 km northeast of Shwebo. It occurred at a depth of 10 km.
