Update: Oct. 10 – 5.2 magnitude earthquake reported near Manay, Philippines

A 5.2 magnitude quake was recorded close to Manay Friday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor, which hit the area at 09:43 UTC (17:43 local time), was centered roughly 47 km east-southeast of Manay. It occurred at a depth of 63 km.

Tremors past week

Over the last week, 16 tremors with a magnitude 2.5 or higher have been detected in the region, four of them larger than magnitude 5.5. The strongest, a 7.4 magnitude quake, was registered close to Santiago prior to this quake.
