Tuesday morning, a 5.1 magnitude quake was detected close to Gorontalo, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

It was reported that a tremor jolted the region at 01:31 UTC (09:31 local time). The epicenter was located about 162 km west-northwest of Gorontalo, at a depth of 26 km.
