Update: July 31 – 5.1 magnitude earthquake recorded close to Ozernovskiy, Russia

A 5.1 magnitude quake was detected near Ozernovskiy Thursday night, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The tremor, which shook the area at 12:40 UTC (23:40 local time), was centered roughly 228 km east-southeast of Ozernovskiy. It occurred at a depth of 10 km.
