OI DISTRICT, Fukui — Monday morning, a 5.1 magnitude quake was recorded close to Takahama, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor shook at 19:04 UTC (04:04 local time), with its epicenter situated approximately 7 km west-southwest of Takahama and a depth of 360 km.
