Update: 5.1 magnitude earthquake strikes near Sinabang, Indonesia on Sept. 23

A 5.1 magnitude quake was registered close to Sinabang Tuesday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

A tremor shook the area at 01:20 UTC (08:20 local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was located about 124 km west-northwest of Sinabang and occurred at a depth of 10 km.
