The U.S. Geological Survey reported that a 5.0 magnitude quake occurred close to Yaguaraparo Wednesday night.

The tremor, which rattled the area at 01:38 UTC (21:38 local time), was centered roughly 40 km north of Yaguaraparo. It occurred at a depth of 122 km.
