Update: 5.0 magnitude earthquake reported close to Wé, New Caledonia on March 14

LIFOU — A 5.0 magnitude quake occurred close to Wé on Saturday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor shook the area at 14:35 UTC (01:35 local time). It occurred at a depth of 10 km with the epicenter about 113 km east-northeast of Wé.
