According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 5.0 magnitude quake shook near Mid-Atlantic Ridge Monday morning.

A tremor hit the region at 05:10 UTC (02:10 local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was situated north of Mid-Atlantic Ridge and occurred at a depth of 10 km.
