CENTRAL MALUKU REGENCY, Maluku — According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 5.0 magnitude quake occurred close to Masohi Sunday morning.

The tremor struck the area at 23:35 UTC (08:35 local time). It occurred at a depth of 10 km with the epicenter situated approximately 69 km northeast of Masohi.
