The Met Office has issued a Yellow fog alert for several regions across the UK until Friday morning.
The warning is covering parts of North West England, Wales, West Midlands. All local areas affected are listed below.
A Yellow weather warning is in effect on Thursday, starting from around 8pm and running until Friday 7am. The forecast indicates low visibility conditions due to thick fog in the affected regions.
The Yellow warning for fog was issued at 7:13pm on Thursday, January 15.
A Met Office forecast said: “Fog patches will become more widespread and dense in places during Thursday evening with visibility falling below 100 m in places. Fog will thin and lift into low cloud late in the night or early on Friday morning.”

Delays or cancellations to flights; Slower journey times with delays to bus and train services.
What should you do in hazy conditions?
Give yourself the best chance of avoiding delays by checking road conditions if driving, leaving extra journey time, or amending plans if necessary.
Make sure you know how to switch on your fog lights, and check they are working before setting off on your journey.
Bus and train services, as well as flights and ferry travel, may also be affected. Check for updates from your travel company, and follow their advice.

What is a yellow weather warning?
The Met Office has three categories of weather warning, depending on the likely impact of severe weather and also how likely it is to strike in a particular area.
A yellow warning is issued when weather conditions are expected to disrupt travel and traffic and may impact on daily routines but are not likely to pose a risk to life or property.
An amber warning is more severe and advises people to think about changing their plans to minimise the risk.
A red warning means weather conditions are expected to be dangerous with widespread damage to property and a risk to life, with the public usually advised to avoid travelling.
The Yellow weather alert for fog will remain in place until 7am on Friday.
