The Wisconsin Badgers have advanced to the next round of playoffs after a 4-3 victory at La Bahn Arena over the Ohio State Buckeyes in the knock-out game on Sunday, March 22, 2025.

Wisconsin’s Kirsten Simms scored the game-winning goal.

The Buckeyes took the lead in the first period, with a goal from Joy Dunne.

The Badgers tied it up 1-1 in the first period when Laila Edwards scored, assisted by Lacey Eden.

The Buckeyes took the lead with a goal from Sloane Matthews late in the first period.

The second period ended with a 3-2 lead for the Buckeyes.

The Badgers tied the score 3-3 with 18 seconds remaining of the third period after a goal from Kirsten Simms.

In overtime, it took 2:49 before Kirsten Simms scored the game-winner for the team, assisted by Lacey Eden and Ava Murphy.
