On Friday at 12:50 a.m. an updated winter weather advisory was released by the National Weather Service in effect until Saturday at midnight for Larimer and Boulder counties between 6,000 and 9,000 Feet.
The NWS adds to expect, “Total snow accumulations between 4 and 12 inches, with the heaviest amounts in the foothills of Boulder County.”
“Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions will impact the Friday morning and evening commutes,” adds the NWS. “Slow down and use caution while traveling.”

If you become stranded, remain composed. Inform someone about your situation and location. Avoid attempting to walk to safety. Indicate that you need assistance by attaching a cloth to your car’s antenna or mirror, and make your vehicle more visible by using the dome light and flashers

Keep an eye out for snow plows and allow them ample room to pass. Only overtake a plow when you have a clear view of the road ahead.
