An updated winter storm warning was released by the National Weather Service on Wednesday at 12:07 p.m. in effect until 3 p.m. for Elbert/central and east Douglas counties above 6,000 feet.

The NWS informs, “Additional snow accumulations up to one inch.”

“Heavy snow accumulating on trees may result in broken tree limbs, downed powerlines, and scattered power outages,” describes the NWS. “Avoid parking or walking under heavy snow laden trees, and stay away from any downed powerlines.”
