The National Hurricane Center’s 10 a.m. Wednesday advisory reported that Tropical Storm Lorenzo is in the Atlantic Ocean, 1,365 miles west-northwest of the Cabo Verde Islands. The system, with maximum sustained winds of 40 mph, is moving to the north-northeast at 14 mph.

“A turn toward the northeast at a faster forward speed is expected later today”, forecasters wrote. They also said “Little change in strength is expected, and Lorenzo is forecast to dissipate later today.”
