According to the National Hurricane Center’s 10 a.m. Wednesday advisory, Tropical Storm Fernand is in the Atlantic Ocean, 600 miles south-southeast of Cape Race Newfoundland. Packing maximum sustained winds of 45 mph, it is tracking east at 12 mph.

“An acceleration toward the east-northeast is expected through Thursday”, analysts wrote. “Little change in strength is forecast through Thursday.” They also said “Fernand is likely to become post-tropical by tonight, and dissipate by early Friday.”
