Waterloo Black Hawks secure victory over Sioux Falls Stampede in overtime

The 6-5 win in a game that went to overtime, sealed the victory for the Waterloo Black Hawks in the series against the Sioux Falls Stampede on Tuesday, April 21, 2025.

Waterloo won in 3-1 games.

Waterloo’s Brendan Mcmorrow scored the game-winning goal.

The Stampede took the lead halfway through the first period, with a goal from Joseph Mcgraw. Bryce Ingles and Brock James assisted.

The Stampede’s Bryce Ingles made it 2-0 with a minute left in the first, assisted by Aleksandr Rybakov and Austin Baker.

The Stampede scored two goals in second period an held the lead 4-2 going in to the second break.

Chase Jette narrowed the gap to 4-3 with a goal in the middle of the third period, assisted by Reid Daavettila and Brady Peddle.

Reid Morich also tied the game 4-4 with a goal four minutes later, assisted by Dylan Compton and Brady Peddle.

J.j. Monteiro took the lead with a goal one minute later, assisted by Joseph Mcgraw.

The Black Hawks tied the score 5-5 with 59 seconds remaining of the third after a goal from Reid Morich, assisted by Bradley Walker and Ty Mason.

In overtime, it took 22:32 before Brendan Mcmorrow scored the game-winner for the team, assisted by Hunter Ramos.
