The Waterloo Black Hawks won the game against the Dubuque Fighting Saints 7-3 at ImOn Arena on Friday, March 20, 2025.
The Black Hawks opened strong, at the beginning of the game with Grady Deering scoring within the first minute.
The Fighting Saints’ Gavin Cornforth tied it up late in the first period, assisted by Cole Spicer and Lucas Van Vliet.
The Black Hawks scored three goals in second period an held the lead 4-2 going in to the second break.
The Fighting Saints narrowed the gap again early in the third period when Gavin Cornforth netted one, assisted by Sean Barnhill and Edison Engle.
Grady Deering made it 5-3 with a goal three minutes later, assisted by Dylan Compton and Brendan Mcmorrow.
Brendan Mcmorrow also increased the lead to 6-3 with a goal one minute later, assisted by Hunter Ramos and Dylan Compton.
Chase Jette then increased the lead to 7-3 with a goal six minutes later.
