At 7:53 p.m., the National Weather Service reported a severe thunderstorm positioned over Alvord, approximately 9 miles northwest of Decatur, advancing eastward at 20 mph. The storm is expected to cause hail damage to vehicles and wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

The warning applies to the areas of Alvord, Greenwood, and Slidell.
