Update: June 30 – 5.0 magnitude earthquake recorded close to Port Blair, India

A 5.0 magnitude quake was registered near Port Blair at midday on Monday, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

At 05:52 UTC (11:52 local time), the region was jolted by a tremor. The earthquake shook at a depth of 10 km, with its epicenter about 283 km south-southeast of Port Blair.
